Succesful Tour of Malta for Melita Cycling Club
Melita Cycling Club again proved to be on top this season with Maurice Formosa wrapping up his best Tour of Malta so far, with a 10th place in the overall classification and 1st overall in the Maltese Classification. Altough Formosa had a bad start at the Tour in the Time Trial, he managed to outshine his local opponents on the following two stages.
Melita had positive results with Christian Formosa and Mark Bonnici who finished 6th and 7th in the Overall Maltese Classification just 10 seconds apart. Formosa and Bonnici finished 25th and 26th in the Overall Classification out of 70 riders.
Newcomer Clive Ebejer made an impact during this Tour with a very good performance on stage 2 at San Martin.
Melita Cycling Club would like to thank Ruben Aquilina and Johann Vassallo for their great support and help during the stages of this Tour.
