Cliff Micallef 1964 - 2009

The cycling community is still under shock with the sudden death of Cliff Micallef following a road accident at Bahar ic-Caghaq.

It is a sad loss for us all who were fortunate enough to get to know him; a true gentleman and cheerful friend who was always willing to help.

Cliff had immense dedication to cycling, being General Secretary of the Malta Cycling Federation, Lifecyclist and a member of Qormi Cycling Club

I was fortunate enough to know Cliff very well as a racing cyclist, working hand in hand with the federation and clubs and when we accomplished the 2004 Life Cycle in Spain and France.

Cliff, we will miss you. Rest in Peace, and watch us from up there.

Perhaps you would be kind enough to add my name to those expressing their sense of loss due to the tragic and senselss death of Cliff.I saw the small video of the funeral on the Times of Malta website and I was impressed with the numbers attending.I sincerely hope that Cliff's death will have a positive impact on the increasing levels of traffic in Malta, something we have experienced for many years in England.
